Wheelchairs and Mobility Aids
All buildings and outdoor spaces are designed to accommodate a variety of mobility options. This includes wheelchairs, scooters, and strollers. All buildings have full elevator access.
A limited number of wheelchairs are available on the ground floor of the Museum and may be borrowed for your campus visit. These wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend inquiring about availability upon your arrival at the information desks located in the lobbies of the Museum and Forum buildings.

Support for the Deaf or hard of hearing
The Obama Presidential Center campus offers a range of offerings for Deaf and hard of hearing visitors including, but not limited to:
Noise cancelling headphones
Assistive-listening devices
Hearing loops
Closed captioning and on-screen American Sign Language interpretations for films and digital media exhibit displays in the Museum galleries

Support for Visitors who are blind or have low vision
The Obama Presidential Center campus offers a range of offerings for visitors who are blind or have low vision including, but not limited to:
Recorded audio descriptions for films and audio-based navigation at digital media displays in the Museum
Braille signs and tactile stations located at a number of the exhibits in the Museum
Tactile replicas and reliefs of key artifacts in the Museum
A tactile wayfinding map on each level of the Museum exhibitions

Personal Care Attendants and Aides
Visitors that require the support of personal care attendants may be accompanied by their attendant at no additional charge. A free ticket for timed entry is required and can be requested via ticketing on the day of your visit or in advance.

Accessible Parking
Accessible parking is available in the campus parking garage and is subject to parking rates. Entrances to the parking garage are accessible. An elevator from the garage is available for use. Learn more , about other transportation options.

Restrooms
Accessible stalls and changing tables are available in each restroom on campus. Adult changing tables are located in the Family Restrooms of both the Lower Level of the Museum Building, and in Home Court.

Food and Food Allergies
Food allergies and special dietary needs are top of mind in our culinary spaces. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free items are marked on restaurant and cafe menus.

Wellness Rooms
Visitors are encouraged to nurse or conduct prayer anywhere on campus. For those with an interest in private space, the campus has two Wellness Rooms. Our Wellness Rooms are quiet, low-stimulation areas designed as private spaces for visitors. Our Wellness Rooms are located on the Lower Level of the Museum and on the Lower Level of Home Court.

Accessible seating will be available in all locations on campus. This includes the Elie Wiesel Auditorium, the Restaurant, the Cafe, the Library, and all outdoor spaces. The Museum will also have a limited number of portable stools for visitors to sit while exploring our exhibitions.

ADA-permitted service animals are welcome and can enter all buildings on campus. Service dogs and/or miniature horses are welcome to support their owners in our buildings. Service animals must be harnessed at all times unless leashing interferes with the animals’ ability to work. In these instances, individuals must maintain control of the animal at all times through voice, signal, or other means.
A service animal relief area is located on the east side of the Promenade between the Museum and the Forum.
For the comfort and safety of all visitors, please note that pets and emotional support animals are only permitted in outdoor campus spaces.
