YOUmedia Teen Digital Media Lab

The Chicago Public Library's celebrated YOUmedia program expands to the Obama Presidential Center's state-of-the-art Media Suite. This free, drop-in digital media exploration program for teens (grades 9-12) offers hands-on access to professional tools for graphic design, photography, video, music, 2D/3D design, and hands-on making. Notable Chicago artists such as Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa honed their craft through YOUmedia in their early teens. Now, CPL extends the program from its branch spaces into the Center's Media Suite, broadening access to professional creative tools. Offered twice weekly in fall 2026 — schedule to be confirmed pending CPL's 2026 budget.
