Summer Garden Gatherings
Sponsored by ESPN, Summer Garden Gatherings at the Obama Presidential Center celebrate community, wellness, and creativity through optional drop-in experiences around growing food, overall well-being, and music.
Held biweekly from July 12 through September 20 in the OPC's Fruit & Vegetable Garden, these gatherings welcome visitors and community members — with an emphasis on residents of the South and West Sides — to connect and have fun together.
Enjoy a DJ or live music, healthy food for purchase from BAMJoy, self-guided tours around the garden, and light activities like screen printing, grow bag giveaways, and potting your own plant. Bring your own picnic or grab something delicious on site.
Free and open to all.

From the Parking Garage:
Follow the signs toward Campus/Plaza. Exit the parking garage and follow the walking path toward the Plaza. Continue through the breezeway between the Chicago Public Library and Forum, and turn right once you reach the Plaza. Follow signs into the Forum’s main entrance and make a slight left to reach the Auditorium.
